That surprises me because I couldn't come up with another list of remakes that I genuinely like (regardless if they're better than the original).
Most would fall into the category - as perfectly described by @Crimson - "films that I remember not disliking".

Incidentally, what are the most hated remakes?

Looking at the lack of matching choices this round I'm not sure if we're going to have a "final" top ten.
Can we just say that A Star Is Born (all 33 versions) has won, that would save me a lot of time accomplishing nothing.

For me, I don't feel right voting for movies that I only know are remakes, but have not seen the original or previous remakes. I must be able to compare for it to feel like a remake. So my list will be this:

1. Oceans Eleven
(love both original & remake!)

2. Murder On the Orient Express
(same as above)

3. The Parent Trap
(liked both)

4. Death At A Funeral
(Prefer the British version)

5. The Jungle Book
(the remake is ok, but I prefer the original)

6. A Star Is Born
(the two versions I've seen are both ok, but I don't love them)

7. Overboard
(I much prefer the version with Goldie & Kurt)

I would probably apply the same criteria if I was doing this list. Film that are significantly worse than the original, even if when considered in isolation they aren't really that bad. My list would probably be (done in blue so not to confuse with the best remakes):
  1. Miracle on 34th Street (1973) - remake of Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
  2. Bumm Bumm Bole (2010) - remake of Children of Heaven (1997)
  3. The Upside (2017) - remake of Intouchables (2011)
  4. Diabolique (1996) - remake of Les Diaboliques (1956)
  5. My Father The Hero (1994) - remake of Mon Pere, Ce Heros (1991)
  6. House of Wax (2005) - remake of House of Wax (1953)
  7. Dark Water (2005) - remake of Honogurai Mizu No Soko Kara (2002)
  8. Poseidon (2006) - remake of The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
  9. The Manchurian Candidate (2004) - remake of The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
  10. A Star Is Born (1976) - remake of A Star is Born (1937)
If I had a bit more time I probably would pick a few different films.

I suspect there are probably more remake fails than good ones, but I wouldn't know for sure because if I'm familiar with the original I'm less inclined to watch a remake.

The two most samey remakes I've sat through are Disney's own remake of its earlier The Lion King and Gus Van Sant's remake of Psycho. The latter in particular feels rather like a piece of expressive art that means more to the creator than the audience... as if he made it just to prove he could, without consideration for whether or not he should. Arguably that gives it a kind of value, so perhaps I could revisit it someday, but overall it's just bizarre to watch the same film made up of the same shots with (mostly less charismatic) actors doing a kind of karaoke of the original.

Here is my Top 10, most of it based on the choices from my previously posted video "Underrated Remakes". I avoided musical remakes, live action remakes and made-for-tv remakes.

1- The Letter (1940) remake of the 1929 film of the same title
2 - The Age of Innocence (1993) remake of the 1934 film of the same title
3- Against All Odds (1984) remake of 1947´s Out of the Past
4- Pride & Prejudice (2005) remake of the 1940 film of the same title
5- Cat People (1982) remake of the 1942 film of the same title
6- Washington Square (1997) remake of 1949´s The Heiress
7- The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981) remake of the 1946 film of the same title
8- Love Affair (1994) remake of the 1939 film of the same title
9- Breathless (1983) remake of 1960´s À bout de souffle
10- A Kiss Before Dying (1991) remake of the 1956 film of the same title

I'm not moving to Canada, I'm not involved in a high society sex scandal, I'm not brainwashed by a cult and I am absolutely NOT kidnapped by a jealous and unhinged tellytalker who forces me to type these words at gunpoint helpcallthepolice
It's just that I'm feeling very filmed-out and I like to return to my contuining stories and British anthology series. Every now and then it's good to re-focus.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it's become a matter of life and soap. Thank you.

I can take the baton for a while. And I am curious about this vs that. Starting with directors.

Make one top 10 list of your favourite movies that just happened to be directed by either Martin Scorsese, James Cameron or David Fincher.

It doesn't matter if you end up with 9 Fincher movies and 1 Scorsese. Or 3 Scorsese, 4 Fincher and 3 Cameron. Or just 2 Cameron and 3 Fincher in a top 5 list. I will include your list in the tally up as long as you have a minimum of 5 movies on your list.

Great that you're taking over @Emelee :hat:
But in the past when we've spotlighted directors, we've had them one at the time rather than throwing three directors into the mix at the same time. So any particular reason you decided to put these three directors up against each other rather than judged for their own merits?

Also before a new round was started I would have liked to see @Willie Oleson tally up the results of the previous round. So when can we have the results of the top ten remakes?

The main reason is that many people may not have seen, and liked, up to 10 movies by a certain director. I want people to be able to list 10 movies they like, not feeling like they have to include movies that they think are just so-so to fill up 10 spots. :)
And I also like to have a competition within the competition. Which movie - but also which director - comes up on top.
