Good points. I always say Pamela as a spoiled brat, a modern Scarlet OHara.
She may not be a Wentworth, but when it comes down to it Pamela is related to Rebecca, and Rebecca is related to the Barnes and the Ewings. And that is a LOT to inherit genetically for both of them in terms of personality!

Will there be any scenes with Rebecca and JR, and/or Katherine? JR's not dead, is he? That phone call with John Ross saying "Dad?", "Dad!?" at the end scared me!

Pamela walks into her office throwing down papers on her desk and shouting, "I want to take Ewing Oil from him and I want South Fork! That's the deal we made. You get CalcoHarwood, I get revenge."

Chris walking behind her says, "Well we're further from that goal then we were just a few days ago."

"And how the hell did he know about Jessica?"

"I have no clue. Someone in this office listening in on us."

Jared Wendell walks in next. "The question is, what's she still doing with him? It's pretty obvious she's the one that told John Ross what you two were up to."

"He's sitting on control of two thirds of this company!" Pamela stares down Christopher. "You get your mother's shares, he gets the votes. And Katherine's! So tell me, how do we put him in check?" She looks back and forth at the two of them, searching for an answer.

John Ross and Jack walk out of the back of a home in the tropics on a soft sandy beach. The young boy runs down to where the warm water gathers around his feet. Sue Ellen, Bo and Jessica follow next. Bo picks up Jack and heads into the ocean like he's carrying a football. Jack laughs as he takes a face full of salt water. Jessica runs behind them.

Sue Ellen says to John Ross, "Gary told he was really impressed by Bo."

"Good. Bo's going to be taking over Ewing Oil sooner than later. We're gonna be partners, but he's gonna run the company on his own. He needs to know how to seal deals. So that's good to hear. Uncle Gary's not your straight forward, sound the bottom line kinda guy."

"And is Rebecca staying, in Dallas I mean?"

"Yes. I believe so. I couldn't get her to take a break from the bank and her startup company to come with us, but I believe she's staying on at South Fork."

"I take it you've given up on Pamela moving back."

"Does it matter?"

"Well she's not gonna want to live with your brother and sister."

"I mean does it matter what I want?"

"Maybe if . . ."

"If what? Pamela hasn't ever given a damn about me. That little boy, that's all I've got. You always cared more about fighting my father than about me and my father cared about fighting the world. The only other two people that cared about me are gone. Grandma and grandpa. But that boy will know I love him and that's it. I'm done with Pamela. And I'm done being up set over the fact that no one gives a damn about me."

"That's not true John Ross."

"Really? Where's Dusty? Where's Peter? Where is my father?"

"I'm here."

"Yes you're here. Listen, I don't want to argue with you, certainly not for the whole week were in Florida. OK so you're here. But let's not talk about Pamela." John Ross walks into the water to join his brother and son.

The three boys race on jet skis while Sue Ellen sits with JR at a table watching. She asks, "What's so imperative that you can't stay here with your family?"

"I'm here now darlin', ain't that enough?"

"No it isn't. It's never been enough. You ran in and out when Miss Ellie died."

"And I took care of her when she needed me."

"But what about the rest of the time? You merged West Star into CalcoHarwood and lost control and you couldn't forgive her."

"She sided with Chris against me. Then she left those votes to a foundation controlled by you, Gary and Bobby. In other words she still sided against me."

"She tried to get you to join the board of the foundation instead of me."

"No thank you. You're better at givin' away money than I am. It wouldn't have mattered anyway. No matter what Chris does, Bobby won't vote against him. I was for sure after that toxic mess down in Ecuador, but they fought and Bobby stills backin' that kid. And Gary just goes along with Bobby. He's turned out to be nothing but misery for Bobby. Shame, wouldn't have thought it, but that boy's eaten up inside."

"By what? Sue Ellen asks.

"Pam abandoning him. A rotten mother sure can do a lot of damage."

"Well a rotten father isn't much better."

"No I suppose not. Tell me Sue Ellen, the truth, after all that's happened, why did you marry me, the first time?"

"If you promise to tell me the truth why you married me."

"Because you were and are still the most beautiful woman in Texas, and I wanted everyone to know you belong to me."

Sue Ellen takes in what he says and then contemplates before saying, "I married you because you were rich and powerful."

"And the second time?"

"Because I loved you and wanted so much for you to love and protect me. And you?"

"Because I loved you and wanted for you to love me and I wanted to protect you. And I have, finally."

"What do you mean?"

"I've made this family safe."

"How so?"

"Just believe me Sue Ellen. Please."

"OK. I believe you."

JR takes her hand, and I still love you."

"Don't start JR."

"I'm not starting. I just have one regret in this world. I never felt like you loved me, and I wish I'd felt that. Just once. But I'm sure you could say the same thing about me."

"No I . . . I felt it. Once. Before we got married the second time. For a short while. And I do miss that feeling."

"You don't ever have to darlin', I've always loved you. Never anyone but you. And I hated you for it. No one could hurt ole JR but you. Even when momma died. Nothing ever hurt more than not being able to hold you."

John Ross steps up from a dingy onto a platform off the back of a mega yacht.

Up on the desk of the yacht with a view of his island home he meets with a man about his age who says, "We've taken care of everything."

Walking in a massive private garden, stopping and smelling the flowers, the old man John Ross had spoken to in the barn sometime at South Fork, the one who casually mentioned killing Rebecca is shot.

Back on the yacht John Ross sits down for lunch with the man who continues, "The Barnes are safe and my associates are very supportive of the use of the Wentworth technology now, to push America even further ahead in oil production. We plan on making inroads into Venezuela."

In Venezuela a man walks into his house and from a drone a missile pierces the building. It explodes it into millions of tiny bits.

On the Yacht the man says, "And the man behind the murder of your grandfather has been taken care of as well."

John Ross says, "It's been a long time coming. He went to Venezuela for the US government and they did nothing. Then with Rebecca Wentworth, again nothing. These people minipulate and use and discard people like they're no big deal."

"It's been difficult raining in global interests bent on keeping the price of oil high. Many of those people have been right around you in Texas. Including your father. But it's not in America's best interests to see high oil prices. We're glad though that your father finally joined us and we look forward to handing him control of CalcoHarwood's board of directors."

"I don't care about that, but I suppose I should thank you for taking care of these issues for me."

"Of course. Thanks to your father you're part of the family now. We're all glad to see you join us. And your father has assured us we can count on you as well."

"As long as I can count on you."

"You can. You're all set for the Paralateral Delegation meeting? You'll be attending with your father?"

"Yes."

"Good. We've got a lot to discuss."

"That's what I'm told."

"Russia in particular. Your father has very reliable connections there."

The sun rises over the water and Sue Ellen and JR eat breakfast with their grandson out on the patio when Bo walks out to join them. "Hello son. Sleep well?"

"Like a baby, dad."

Sue Ellen asks, "Where's Jessica?"

"She's still sleeping."

"I've got to talk to you about takin' up with that granddaughter of Jordan Lee's," JR says.

"Don't start dad."

"I'm just sayin' son, the apple don't fall from the tree."

"Oh JR." Sue Ellen rolls her eyes.

John Ross walks out with Rebecca saying, "Look who's joined us."

"Well sweetheart," JR stands to greet his daughter, to hug and kiss her cheek. "I've miss you. You sit here, right next to daddy. So what's this I hear your broke off thinkgs with Henri Dupree to move to Dallas? I never did like that young man. About all he's got goin' for him is that title. How a smart girl like you could even hold a conversation with a boy like that was beyond me."

"He was pretty cute to look at though."

"Well if you go for that type. Now your brothers here, they'll find you a good Texas boy. What about Roger Templeton's boy? Roger use to go with your cousin Lucy way back when. Shame that didn't work out."

Bo leans over to his sister and says, "At least it's not just me."

"Sue Ellen honey, you got to help me fix these children up proper."

"JR let 'em find their own way."

"A little nudge never hurt."

Pamela sits looking out her office window at the skyline of Dallas when Chris walks in. "I'm getter tired of waiting on that Wentworth drilling technology. Now I hear Rebecca's got Wentworth Industries. I suppose that means she's got what I want."

Without turning to look at him Pamela says, "No. She's just got the name. From what I hear she's using it to set up a conglomerate along with running SSC's American operations. A bank you rely very heavily on."

"I can find other banks to work with. What I want from you is that technology and you'd better get it."

Turning around in her chair Pamela says, "Or what? You don't even control your own shares in this company anymore. So don't come in here demand a damn thing. Bobby might back you but JR Ewing doesn't. And if I don't either, you're of CalcoHarwood."

"You owe me. I helped you get control of this company while your father was quickly watching it disintegrate."

Standing up Pamela tells him, "I don't owe you or anyone anything. You helped turn this company over to me just as I helped turn CalcoHarwood over to you. We're even. What have you put into play to me Ewing Oil?"

"So now they Ewing's have us at each other's throat."

"No that's you coming in here making demands."

"We do share this company, cousin."

"Not any more. Rebecca sold me her shares. So I own a third, and my son owns a third." Pamela sits back down. "How about I buy you out?"

Chris sits down, "You sure you can handle all this debt?"

"Let's not start worrying about each other."

"I'm not worried about you, if you can't handle it and loose control of the company, that puts all those CalcoHarwood shares up for grabs. That's what I'm worried about. I'm happy to go our separate ways, cousin."

"Good. For a second I thought you were getting sentimental on me. Did you hear, SSC is slowly buying a chunk of CalcoHarwood."

"Of course. I'm not surprised. I got notice that they expect a board seat. I'm guessing they're talking about Rebecca."

"You think our grandmother would be proud, her three grandchildren on the board of one of the supermajors?"

"I don't know or really care. I'd like to get JR off the board and now he wants Bo in his place."

"You don't have much choice."

"Sue Ellen has put Arnold Leland up to represent the foundation."

"I thought he worked with John Ross."

"Does. But I guess he's on the foundations financial advisory board too, which I'm told now includes Rebecca."

"She's becoming a regular little Ewing, isn't she?"

At South Fork John Ross leans on the fence watching Jack and his teammates practicing polo under the watchful eye of their coach.

Pamela comes up and leans on the fence with John Ross. "He's pretty good, ha?"

"Seems to be." John Ross doesn't look at her.

"I wanted to ask you about the votes you have in Barnes Holdings."

"Oh so you didn't come to watch your son."

"Don't. Just because polo doesn't interest me doesn't mean I don't love my son."

"What is it you want?"

"I bought out both Rebecca and Chris. Barnes Holdings belongs to just me and Jack now. I want those votes."

"You've got Jack's votes."

"You know what I mean."

"And what do I get?"

"My undying gratitude."

He looks at her, stares her down. "Really. I can do without that."

That's when Jack rides up and says, "Did you see me mommy? Did you see me score?"

"Yes precious. Mommy's very proud of you. Score another one for me."

"They're all for you mommy," Jack says and rides back to the team.

"That boy adores you."

"I haven't been that awful of a mother."

"I'll give you the votes, but I want you to move back into South Fork."

"What?"

"I don't mean we have to share a room or anything. But I want you here more often, dinners and all, so if you move back in I'll give you the votes."

"Move in with your mother, brother and this new sister of yours?"

"Yes."

"No."

"Than the cottage out back. I doubt Uncle Bobby will be back anytime soon."

"What ever you heard about me and Jared Wendell isn't true."

"Isn't it?"

"No it isn't. You and Amy Anderson?"

"She's just a friend."

A truck pulls up behind South Fork and movers begin to empty it into the cottage. A contractor measures out an addition onto the structure and talks to his team.

John Ross walks up the stairs of a barn and into a large rec room, games, a bar, a massive fireplace. He watches Bo and Ruby playing pool and slaps down a quarter before sitting in a big chair, looking at a giant projection screen of a Cowboys replay game.

Pamela talks to the contractors, "A sun room but I need to control the sun so it doesn't get too hot. And a door there and there from the living room and the bedroom."

Sue Ellen watches from the pool with Rebecca and says, "I can't imagine this is going to turn out well."

"She's got to go. She's caused him nothing but misery."

"I'd like to disagree with you. You know no one even knew they were seeing each other. He'd moved in here because Miss Ellie asked him to after Clayton died. Next thing we knew he was married to Pamela and she moved in. And then we found out she was having a baby. Miss Ellie was happy. John Ross was going to name him after Clayton, but changed his mind for Miss Ellie. He promised he'd name the second one after Clayton. Of course JR and Cliff had a thousand fits. Except when Jack was born. JR thought that boy was everything and thanked Pamela to no end. Showed her with jewelry."

"That's odd."

"Your father's odd. All John Ross and Pamela ever did was fight."

"Over what?"

"She just never seemed happy. And he was jealous of her running Cliff's company and then conspiring with Chris against JR to take control of CalcoHarwood. As difficult as school was, business just came easy for John Ross. John Ross never made friends easy, always seemed mostly alone, but those he did, they were for life. Sal, Arnie, Ruby. And Pamela. She meant everything to him. He never really had any girlfriends either. Not like Chris. But Pamela assumed the worst of him. Assumed he was cheating."

"He seems to like Amy Anderson."

"Yes they've seemed to form some sort of an esperanza."

Chris walks in from the bathroom in just a towel and Jessica sits up in bed. "So if Bo had the money now, he could buy as much as half of Ewing Oil?"

"I guess so. He said John Ross wants them to be fifty fifty partners in the company."

"So maybe I need to meet with Bo. I can come up with the money."

"He's going in with Rebecca too."

"What do you mean?"

"Her company, Wentworth Industries. John Ross is going in with her fifty fifty. Some sort of refinery business they're buying. They've got some technology for improving the refinery process I heard them talking about."

"What the hell. How's he always stumble across this shit. I've never meet some one half as lucky as him."

"He's kinda got the Midas touch doesn't he?"

"Yeah well that's gonna end," Chris says walking back into the bathroom.

South Fork fills up with friends all dressed for the Oil Barron's Ball who stop by for cocktails on their way. Sue Ellen flits around making sure everyone is happy, the perfect hostess. Rebecca sits by the fire place as if holding court. John Ross walks down stairs to see Chris coming in the front door.

John Ross greets him with a hug and asks, "When are we gonna get you to move back to South Fork?"

"That's not gonna happen."

"Tell me what you want. You want your own wing? Or we can turn one of the barns into a house for you."

"I'm very happy with my place thank you."

"Well come on in and have a drink. We'll talk about you moving back in another time. I heard you went to see your mother. How's Aunt Pam doing?"

Up stairs Bo has Jessica pinned against the wall, her dress hiked up and banging away at her. She moans. He grunts.

Pamela walks out of her cottage toward a long stretch limousine. Jared Wendell gets out and offers his hand. "Big crowd."

"They're having a cocktail party."

"Do you want to go in?"

"God no." Pamela gets in the car.

Amy stands in the living room door way, completely beautiful, angelic, breath taking. There's a bit of a lull in the room as she is noticed. John Ross takes her hand and says, "What can I get ya," as he guides her into the crowded space."

"I'm fine. But thank you."

In a gathering of businessmen and the like Chris says, "No I can guarantee you we're headed back up to over a hundred dollars a barrel by 2015."

The one man says, "Your cousin Rebecca's predicting under fifty by 2015."

"Oh come on. She's a Swiss banker. What she know about oil?"

"She knows the Saudi royal family."

"Listen it doesn't benefit them one bit to keep lowering the price of crude. Trust me. It's a mater of time."

"I heard John Ross is being sent as part of an American Delegation to negotiate with Venezuela and Maracaibo."

"That's what I heard to. He's headed down with the state department and Phillip Welser from the EU."

"What for?"

"There's discussions, especially with Maracaibo, of a thawing of relations with the US, at least over oil."

"What they want is American technology."

Amy hugs her grandfather and kisses his cheek.

John Ross says to him, "Welcome to South Fork señor Haddad. Please consider my home yours."

JR steps up behind him and says, "Well of course he will. Welcome Carlos. So good to see you again."

"Thank you JR. Your boy here is joining a delegation down to Maracaibo I hear. You must be proud."

"Of this boy. He's surpassed the old man ten times over. You'd better watch it, cause he's catching up to you on the Forbes list."

"Oh we've got plenty of room. My granddaughter says he has a beautiful place up in Idaho. She keeps trying to get me up there. And another in the Florida keys. As long as he says out of yachting like the old man I'm good."

"Yeah he's taking care of business. He's got a new venture with his sister, Rebecca, Wentworth Industries. I told her it's about time we got her out of the banking business. You remember her grandmother, Rebecca Wentworth. An impressive woman."

"Very impressive. So this South American trip, you tagging along?"

"I might be around."

The Ewing's show up at the Oil Barron's Ball, John Ross with Amy, Bo with Jessica, Rebecca with Ruby and JR with Sue Ellen.

Chris shows up with a date and Pamela with Jared Wendell. Cliff Barnes approaches their table with Marilee Stone. She introduces them to her son Seth and his date.

Sue Ellen takes to the stage and thanks everyone for attending. She welcome them and speaks about how proud she is that the Ewing Family Foundation is underwriting the event. She speaks about how much the event means to the community of Dallas. She makes mention of a few people in the crowd with little telltale comments.

Rebecca leans over to John Ross and says, "I'll give your mother credit, she knows her audience."

Bo leans over to her, "She's one class act. Since I've been in Dallas she's treated me like her own son."

JR and Sue Ellen dance. JR says, "Marry me sweetheart."

She rests her head in his shoulder.

John Ross watches Pamela dance with Jared and leaves the room running into Cliff Barnes on the way out. "Well if it isn't my x-son-in-law."

"Move out of my way Cliff."

"I want you to know John Ross, I might not have been happy the two of you were married, but only for a second, thinking you were JRs son. When I thought about, that you could have been my boy, and gave you a chance, I . . . I'm sorry for what happened."

"What?"

"I told Pamela she needed to work on your marriage and not just give up. I told her you were a good person. I might not of been a great father, but I tried. And I wanted her to know I wanted the best for her. I know she loves you John Ross."

"Problem is everyone but Pamela knows it."

"Please don't give up on her. One day I won't be around to take care of my little girl. I'd like to think you were looking out for her."

"Of course."

"Take care John Ross. You ever need anything. Like I said, I think of you as a son."

The two shake and John Ross leaves.

Great updates Steve. :10:
I really loved the JR/SE scenes. Finally some romance between one of my favorite couples again. I so wish we'd gotten to see this on the show.
I wonder what her reply will be though...

Great that Bobby has found Pam too and that Chris went to see them. I wish we could have seen that.

Also gotta love the Oil Baron's. Loved Cliff's scene with John Ross. It sounds like the man he should have been, rather than the bitter old man we didn't recognize who ended up in jail in the version of Dallas that is better left forgotten...

I loved Pamela Rebecca & John Ross scene too and how he asked her to move home.

I am confused about who Jessica is though?

How many children does JR have in this story?

Anyway keep up the great work. :)

Thank you. I bet you know Sue Ellen's reply and one hell of a honeymoon.

I might return to Bobby and Pam as well.

I like this Cliff too - I'm personally not use to butter old people, but often older people trying to make right their wrongs.

John Ross does love her.

Jessica's really just a girl Bo's sleeping with. She comes and goes. No really loyalty between them. She's Jordan Lee's granddaughter but that doesn't really play into the story. She's just a pawn between the players of the Ewing Barnes Family.

JR has 3 ligetimate children living at South Fork: John Ross III with 1st wife, 3rd and 5th wife (soon to be) Sue Ellen, Rebecca (who he kept in Europe) with 2nd (and very brief) wife Katherine, and Bo with 4th wife Cally. He also has at least one illegitimate child, James Beaumont, out there.

I'm disappointed in Sue Ellen. She sure gave in to JR awfully quickly! I sure as heck wouldn't even be considering marrying him AGAIN after just finding out that he had a five minute marriage and a kid with the woman who tried to kill his own brother multiple times. That is just messed up, in my opinion.

I see you point but they had a messed up relationship in many ways and coming from both of them over the years. My intention was just to wrap up a long series of events and allow the two characters to make something of a decades long mess without dwelling on the past. She does love him no matter what he's done and he loves her, they've proven it time and again. I just wouldn't have wanted the show to dwell on then when I was looking for it being about the next generation.

I see what you mean. I guess you could say that Sue Ellen is no longer shocked by anything that JR does at this point. I just always thought that the JR and Katherine affair would be awful for Sue Ellen to learn about. In one of the episodes where JR slept with Katherine, he was also going on with all of this fake cutesy talk to Sue Ellen about having another baby. And then went out to screw with Katherine not long after. When you consider the fact that Sue Ellen lost a child that might have been JR's in the very same episode where there is a chance that Katherine could have gotten pregnant (for this story), the affair seems a lot more hurtful than you would think at first. I just thought it was a little weird that Sue Ellen didn't even yell at him here, but like I said, she is probably beyond being shocked at JR's antics.

One question, though. I know that JR and Katherine got married briefly so that Rebecca could have the Ewing name. But I am curious as to how did JR convinced Katherine to go through with this. It doesn't seem like she would've wanted her daughter to have a different last name. And just marrying JR at all sounds like something she would rather die than go through with. Lol! Did JR blackmail her again or something.

What puzzles me the most though is how could JR get married to Katherine when he was already married to Sue Ellen at this point?
I mean wouldn't that make him a bigamist?

Yes I know it's a stretch with her ever forgiving him and maybe I shouldn't go there but I wanted them back together at SouthFork and traveling on his yacht - when not well enough to film. I even thought that JR could be ill and she agrees to take care of him as he fights cancer but I thought the actor might object as that was too close to reality. Would have been powerful as JR returns home to battle cancer, marries a grief stricken Sue Ellen, makes his children confront their relationship with him and then as it turns out he real does die.

Katherine was bigamy for JR with her blackmailing him to destroy his marriage to Sue Ellen and reveal his affair with her to his family and their child. Katherine wanted control of JR so JR wouldn't go after her and bigamy worked (I probably would have left them married even when he married Cally and maybe even up to his death). Katherine also wanted her daughter to inherite Ewing money along with John Ross - she wanted her daughter to be the surprise that Cliff and Pam were. She forced out of JR child support and alimony as she was on the run and Cliff controlled her funds in America, along with taking control of Pam's money. She tolerated JRs visits seeing as he was a good father but she made sure he knew she could expose him to Sue Ellen and Bobby at any moment.

JR was based on HL Hunt and so I figured bigamy was in order. 3 wives, 3 legitimate Ewing's. Who knows how many illegitimate children, at least 1 we know about.

JR meets with Katherine in Switzerland. He hands her papers and says that he needs her to sign them. Katherine laughs, "And why would I do that? Just marry her like you married Cally."

"Look it, this is all done with. You got what you wanted. Rebecca's in my will, full third along with John Ross and Bo. No more Katherine. I married you when you could blackmail me with that girl. You can't anymore. I'll get my divorce one way or another. Not like our marriage counted as I was already married to Sue Ellen at the time."

Katherine signs and then looks up at JR. "Surprisingly you were a very good father."

"Thank you."

"Why the regency to marry Sue Ellen?"

"I'm dying and I want to make things right with her."

"What?"

"I want my children with me and Sue Ellen too. I want to fix the mess I'm leaving behind. I'm arranging to buy the ranch from Bobby and CalcoHarwood will merge with Trident and I'm leaving it to the three of them. Rebecca's negotiating merging Wentworth Industries into Ewing Oil and sharing the company with her brothers. They're a family. And I want to be part of that before I die."

"Rebecca's getting rid of the Wentworth name?"

"I don't know the particulars, but they're Ewing's. Wait to you see what I've got I store for CalcoHarwood and Trident. It'll be my greatest deal yet."

Katherine hands JR the papers. "Good luck JR."

JR smiles taking them from her and says, "Why darlin' I think you really mean that."

Sue Ellen opens a jewelry box and reads, "These belong to you darlin'." She looks over Miss Ellie's jewelry.

JR welcomes on board her ship a young man saying, "Lets finish this up so you can get busy on putting on the final touches."

"Yes sir."

"Remember just your name on it and it's not to be published until after my death."

"How can I forget?"

"Alright then. Well wish this up and you can said the final copy for my edits to South Fork. I'm moving in with my wife and children."

"Which wife is that?"

"Only one that mattered. Sue Ellen."

"I thought Venessa was the love of your life."

"So did I at one time. Then I forgot all about her. Then she showed back up and then she quickly left. Made no difference."

"And Cally?"

"A sweet girl. You had to fall for her if you meet her. But no."

"And Katherine?"

JR laughs. "A rabid bitch. Damn what a woman. I'll tell you I even came to fell for her. She could handle those people that neither her mother or father could. I appreciate that, and her help. What a woman. But no."

"Why Sue Ellen?"

"Every day of my life since I've meet her I've thought of her and I don't know why. Beautiful, yes. Intelligent, yes. Compassionate, very. She's the only woman I ever wanted to love me. And all these years she still is. I've as much hated her and loved her for that. Mark my word, she'll be my first wife and my last."

"And your third."

"Yea well that's a bit of poetic license my boy. None of my other narratives were legal. Just the times I married Sue Ellen, and I'm gonna hold onto until I do again."

"According to my research you share that in common with your brothers, both Bobby and Gary, an obsession with one woman you keep marrying again and again. He just married Pam."

"I'll be damned. And now my boy's doing the same thing. He can't give over that girl. Let me tell ya, before this cancer gets the best of me how old JR is gone get those two together and how I'm gonna marry Sue Ellen again. And Trident is gonna be my legacy like Ewing Oil was my daddy's."

Pamela looks up from her desk when Chris comes in, telling him to sit down.

As he does he says, "Trident just made a bid to merge with CalcoHarwood."

"I know. I was informed. All the major shareholders were informed, that means JR and the Ewing Foundation."

"And SSC Bank."

"Did you hear about SSC Bank?"

"John Ross, Bo and Rebecca merged Wentworth Industries into Ewing Oil. They share it equally now and it includes a healthy share of SSC. Which means they've got a sizable share of CalcoHarwood. Bo's president. Rebecca's chairman and we all know somehow John Ross it pulling the strings."

"If we all stick together we'll be able to fend off a takeover."

"That's a big if. Holly Harwood is in favor of the take over."

"No way."

"Just talked her right before you arrived. And I can guarantee Bobby will go along with it because the deal is bound to make the foundation money. That mean so will Gary and Sue Ellen. I'm assuming that's what John Ross will figure as well. So the only chance we have of fending this off is if you ally yourself with your Uncle JR."

"No way in hell that'd gonna happen."

"Than you better prepare to watch Trident take over and push you aside."

Bo walks down from the rec room barn out back of South Fork. JR shakes his hand and says, "I wants thank you son for givin' me your room and movin' out here. Be better for a young, single man anyway, got the exercise room and that big party room and some privacy."

"No problem dad. You sure it's gonna be OK with you movin' in the house though?"

"Sure it will. And I'll be movin' in Sue Ellen's room soon enough."

"What makes you think she'll take you back?"

"I've got my ways. I'll charm her. You'll see. Besides I gotta make room for when your brother has more kids."

"What with Amy?"

"No even I've given up on that. Say how you and your sister doin' running Ewing Oil?"

"Just fine. Real good actually."

"Keeping John Ross in the loop?"

"Meet every Monday morning before he meets with Ruby and Arnie and Sal."

"Diversifying the company I hear."

"Somewhat. That's Rebecca's call. I'm heading up the oil field services operations."

"Good man. Good man. I'm proud of you."

John Ross stands on the porch off the back off South Fork and says into the phone, "Of course I want to buy the ranch Uncle Bobby but why you want to sell? . . . And Christopher? . . . No I suppose you're right he doesn't seem to care about it anymore . . . You spoke to Uncle Gary and Uncle Ray and? . . . And there kids? . . . OK . . . Yes of course I want it. I'll make all the arrangements. But you aren't coming back? . . . Thank you."

John Ross walks into his while in the wall bar and says, "Lucas Krebs."

Lucas turns around me at the bar and the two hug. John Ross joins him and Lucas buys him a drink.

John Ross says, "So Uncle Bobby talked to you about the ranch."

"Said he was selling the business to you."

"And you're alright right it?"

"Hell ya. Glad to have you in the cattle business neighbor. Maybe the Wade Ranch and South Fork can work out some partnerships to save money. You like share a helicopter between the two of us."

"Sure I don't see why not."

"Besides you're family. The only family I got in Texas, with your brother that is. Oh and I got to meet this sister of yours."

"Come over anytime."

"I been meaning to. I've got a little something to ask you cousin."

"What is it?"

"Things serious with you and Amy Anderson?"

"No. She's just a friend."

"So if I showed an interest in her?"

"Really? No worries cousin. I'd be thrilled."

"Good. Glad to hear it."

"You do recall Chris is a cousin too?"

"No. I got cousins in California and siblings in Europe. But I ain't got any other family here in Texas besides y'all. Chris has made that clear. I'm surprised you don't feel the same way."

"I made grandma a promise I'd look out for him."

"Well you do that. Far as I'm concerned he can stay a Shepard."

"I'm worried about him in this new fight."

"What new fight?"

"Tridents going after CalcoHarwood and I'm afraid he's gonna loose control. I just remember what that did to my dad when he lost control of the company."

"Tridents a pretty new company, kinda like David taking over Goliath."

"Kinda yea."

"Whose behind Trident?"

"Most of the shares are owned by a variety of stockholders, mostly institutional. But twenty percent is owned by a Manama company, in class B shares."

"What's that mean?"

"Means that twenty percent gets more votes and it intends to keep it that way. They do but CalcoHarwood they own about five percent but those votes will be forty percent. That's control."

"Who's behind this Manama company?"

"That's what I'm looking for. But ya another?"

"Sure thing, cousin."

The next scenes would be a South Fork rodeo and would include Willie Nelson singing the following song from JR to Sue Ellen:

And to another tribute to the '80s a fight between John Ross and Pamela where he ends up asking what have I done to deserve this ends with:

I love the JR/SE bits of this new story. I loved it how he said that Sue Ellen was the only wife/woman that had mattered to him. :)
Too bad JR is dying though. I hope it won't happen yet for a long while.

The scene with John Ross and Lucas was nice too. I still wonder about Lucas other siblings though...there's Charlie of course. Then at least one younger sibling...

Oh and I love how Bobby had remarried Pam again. As it should have been. :)
Just too bad we haven't seen them at all.

Anyway looking forward to JR wooing Sue Ellen now when he's moved back in...

Thank you. Well I figured Larry Hagman was ill and that should have been written into the story. If he lived a long while even better. It he died when he did, even more powerful it could have been.

Lucas's is a story I'd have played with for some time teasing the audience bit by bit, little by little.

Because Victoria Principal refused to return to Dallas in 2012 I always had this idea of how they could have done his love story with Pam off screen. I know not as satisfying as seeing it in person but I thought fans of the couple would have been much happier than they were with him remarrying and his thing with Ann.

JR in my version will fix his mess and die in peace, the opposit of Jock who died suddenly and in term oil. JR will die on his own terms and leave a legacy no one could imagine. When the tv show asked who was going to cone out on top the answer was JR Ewing.

Then at the last event of the rodeo John Ross thanks everyone for coming and spending their weekend with his family. He invites everyone to come back same time next year. He then sits with his guitar and says, "But before you leave I have to one last thing. It's a song I keep in mind all the time when I think of Pamela Barnes and I want everyone to know that no matter what, I won't give up." He then sings the following song:
