'The Lovely Michelle'
I though after two or three years of Mistletoe Stevens it was time for something different. Plus another member has a Festive name about being ... under the Mistletoe.Thank you my friend Sexmas :ch: ... and Sexmas Stevens is a fab name, how clever you are to come up with that one.
It sounds hot... just don't expect me to admit to saying this when I'm in 'The Last Post Thread'

Well this was because Velly is a very active plant. I think "keiki" mean "little one" in Hawaiian. I was going to "birth" them in the autumn but saw they were spiking so I decided to wait under after their blooms drop. I think they may loose their blooms if I detach them from their Mother plant too soon. How exciting to have some baby Orchids on the way. I've never had these keikis on any of my little gang.
Yes number 5...I'm very stubborn and will not give up.
Never! Is she red or white? An name ideas?
Streetie is a Poinsettia.Streetie is our very own Orchid living legend![]()
I saw Duchess this morning. She still clings to life but I don't know for how much longer. All I can do is hope. I think of it this way, all the other Poinsettias in the grocery store I bought her from in December 2019 are all long dead, surely. Three years isn't too bad but I wanted to see how much longer I could have kept her alive. Her mate White Princess is doing fine and there is Duchess II. When I pruned Duchess in April 2021 I put several clippings in a bucket of water and some rooted and my Mother planted Duchess II. She is now doing fine so a part of Duchess will live on if she does die.Poor Duchess though, as you know I also over-watered my Biggie, its so easily done. I hope she pulls throughray:
I have had added Poinsettia grief as I am concerned about Streetie. She has some dying limbs and unhealthy areas. I would be heartbroken is she dies so I'm keeping close eye on her. Mid-May seems like a long time from how, before the full glory of Mother Nature can bring new life to her. She may have picked-up a disease during her time outside.
Ooo how flipping lucky Pippa The Pepper is that you saw herand also a fab new friend for Streetie who has a similar history.
They do have a very similar story. Unlike Streetie if all goes well I can actually eat her fruit and harvest her seeds. Pippa the Pepper is indeed lucky and I hope that luck continues into the colds of Winter. She is an new experiment as the Poinsettias have been.
LOL, Sexmas only until New Years around here. I have read articles and YouTube videos of people wintering-over Pepper plants. What harm would it be if I try it. If Pippa dies, it is still months after the former owner would have tossed her. If all goes well I have a new plant friend to love.I'll be very interested to hear how she gets along, I've never had a pepper-plant and will enjoy learning about them for you Michelle .. oops I mean Sexmas :Clol:
Woohoo! I do love the Magic Fairy! And guess who I found in the TT attic ..shes back!![]()
Just in time. I need some magic in my Poinsettia world.
...I'm very stubborn and will not give up.
... my brain must've been mushy when I replied. I typed Orchid meaning Poinsettia ... I even picture Streetie sitting outside that shop all neglected and ignored. She's been a happy Christmas story so far.
.. , that was so flipping funny
its just a block of ice.
