actually yes i have and i agree it's stupid and annoying as hell but i do get why it's done. i've been forced to do it too when i was at a doctors appointment.
i just finished a Kay Scarpetta x-mas book which is about 90 pages and it came out in (1998) called Scarpetta's Winter Table by Patrica Cornwell, good book but what do i hate? in it there are a number of recipe's since it's a x-mas book and Kay is known if you've read the series to have a love of cooking and reading some of these recipes just made me damn hungry so i had to go downstairs at this late hour to eat something.
that's what i hate good book though otherwise i bought this at a goodwill years ago and i wanted to be caught up to read it in sequence and i did. a sweet story about Marino if you know the series taking in a kid that ended up being alone on the holiday's. his mom had gotten her truck stuck in snow i think it was?

waiting for something you order to come in the mail, i pre-ordered a video game the new Ratchet & Clank game for my PS5 last week i think it was on the 3rd? anyways it was to come out today in fact. well i ordered it from best buys and it's not their fault per say it's UPS well instead of sending i dunno maybe Monday or Tuesday they sent it yesterday and for those who don't know you can track your orders well last i looked it was Initiated in Okalhoma and last i looked it was still there now 2 morrow is Saturday yesterday it said it was gonna be here today for a good number of hours now it says it's gonna be here Tuesday. now my gripe is if they would have gotten off their asses and sent it on time i'd be playing it maybe today or 2 morrow. i shouldn't have to wait until the fucking 15th if it even comes on that day at all.
now don't get me wrong i know that they had a lot of other orders but at least send you a fucking e-mail saying i'm sorry we've been so backed up with so many orders etc. and just let me know if it's gonna be late uh nope nothing like that

Oprah (the gift that keeps on giving) Winfrey produced a special titled Honoring Our Kings: Celebrating Black Fatherhood. I didn't watch it but it included segments featuring Kevin Hart and John Legend. I wonder if Hart told his joke about finding his son playing with a dollhouse and smashing it over his head so he doesn't become gay. Maybe Legend did a segment about bullying - using his wife as an example.

I've not seen the programme but it's a great subject for a TV show. Too often black fathers are portrayed as being violent, unloving or absent when in fact most of them are great parents and I applaud Oprah for trying to change the narrative on this.
Regarding Kevin Hart, he has apologised for his past homophobic statements and of his desire to do better in the future. I think that's a great example for a father to show his son: when you do wrong, recognise that, apologise and commit to do better. Regarding John Legend, he doesn't own his wife, he isn't guilty of anything she has done. It's a very old fashioned and sexist view that husbands should control what their wives do.

I love the cinema but unfortunately you are so right! Some people just have to ruin it for everyone. The thing that bothers me the most is when they take their phones out in the darkness and start texting. It’s very distracting. Some of them even start talking on the phone, which I don’t understand. You’re here to see a movie, not answer messages.

I know it makes me sound like Grumpy Old Man, but there is a growing number of people who are so addicted to their phones that nothing would stop them from playing with their little toy. Those things have become a ruling presence in their lives. I will never understand the appeal.
I recently saw a video online from a wedding where the bride was walking down the aisle and the groom absent-mindedly whipped out his phone to check for messages. Yes, someone caught that telling moment on video....probably on a phone.
In the movie theater example, a lot of that uncouth behavior would likely stem from the fact that so many people were raised on watching movies at home, where such crass behavior doesn't get criticized. Now out in public, they don't adjust their behavior, either because they haven't been taught how or they simply don't care about others' concerns.
