Anyone watching the election results on TV tonight, which channel do you think will have the best coverage? I'll probably watch it on CNN again but how has coverage been on Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc. in previous years?
I'll probably watch MSNBC, but I'm open to suggestions. How is CNN?

I suspect you'd be offended by any expression of satisfaction over a Clinton victory.
I can only imagine the grace that Hillary supporters would be subject to if, God forbid, Trump won.

I've always found the CNN coverage to be very good and they have knowledgeable commentators and relevant contributors. However, I have nothing to compare it with as it's been the only US news channel I was able to access from the UK in the past. Now can watch a range of US channels so I was interested in how coverage was elsewhere. I prefer to watch on a US channel than a UK one. I might start with CNN and channel hop throughout the night.
It depends on how close it is in Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina. If Trump loses any one of those states, it's over.When will the first results come through and how long does it usually take until a winner is declared?
Whoever is going to win, I don't want to miss it, but I have to get some sleep, too

Former Prime Minister of Sweden (of a right-wing party), Fredrik Reinfeld is currently slamming Trump on national TV. And his voters. He said Trump supporters have "a skew picture of reality". lol I never liked you, Reiny, but that was funny!
He also said the obvious: Trump's blurry plans won't even pass, cause he will not have enough support from the senate/congress. So all his promises are all empty talk. Not that anyone really knows whatever he really wants.
Another funny quote by Reinfeld: Never vote on a candidate because it's fun & exciting to see what might happen, that's ok in hockey matches, but not in politics, and not for 4 years.

I'll say this now before we'll know which side will win...
I think the US election system is not very fair. Here in Sweden we have a system based on percentages where the votes are split between many parties according to the actual number of people who voted for them. I think it's a better system quite frankly because it gives the smaller parties a chance to make their voices heard whereas your electoral vote system only leaves you with two choices that matters.
Also if you have to hold on to your electoral votes system it seems more fair to divide those according to percentages rather than to give all votes of a state to whoever happens to have the edge.
Like for instance if it's a close call like Florida seems to be, why not split the electoral votes in half so each candicate gets as many?
That seems to better represents the will of the people.

As appalling an idea as Trump for president is and has always been, some people have been awfully unrealistic about how possible it could be.
And it's looking tonight like it might happen, with a Republican congress to boot.
But Trump's vulgarity, slew of insults, constantly changing "facts," and endless empty promises still work in America. Anyone who thought otherwise has some serious denial going on.
He won't fix anything, of course, for the working class. Whenever they realize they've been conned and duped is anybody's guess. But I really think they're happy to go over the cliff with him. Because they've been scammed into thinking he's one of "theirs."
Stay tuned.
