What was it about Hillary that made her so qualified?
Also, it's worth noting that Bernie Sanders beat Trump by larger margins than Hillary during the primaries.
Gee, I don't know. A law degree from Yale, successful attorney, 8 years as a U.S. Senator, and 4 years as Secretary of State, among other things. But I suppose Trump, who's filed corporate bankruptcy 6 times, is more qualified.

Sanders may be a Democratic Socialist, but he tackled the issues important to young people, the middle class, and people living in poverty. He also doesn't have Hillary Clinton's political baggage or Trump's petulance and divisiveness. That's why I believe his chances of winning against Trump were greater than Hillary's.
That's completely delusional in my humble opinion.

I wasn't debating the qualifications of Trump and Clinton. Trump's never held elected office before, so of course Hillary has him beat in terms of political experience.

However, your assertion that Hillary is the most qualified candidate of all time is still debatable. Not because of her years in the political arena, but because of her policy record and judgement. I say this not as an advocate of Trump, but as someone who saw both candidates objectively. Trump is crude, petulant, and reckless, while Hillary often sold out her ideals for political expediency and was dismissive of millennials. You could look at that and say "Well Trump is clearly worse," but I still see a Democratic candidate that was once against gay marriage, in favor of the wars, in favor of TPP, is bought off by Wall Street, etc. Moving to the left was a result of both changing political opinions in the country, as well as trying to woo progressive Sanders supporters. However, that proves her positions could have changed again just as quickly given the right circumstances.

That's completely delusional in my humble opinion.
Even though Sanders was polling higher against Trump than Hillary was during the primaries? I'm not saying it's a certainty he would have won, but I do think his chances would have been better.

And no offense, but you calling me delusional is funny in the wake of Trump's victory. You and other Hillary supporters were so sure you had the election in the bag that you ignored warnings to the contrary.

many? I disagree..This was won by the public FINALLY rejecting the eletist freight train,, and just in time.. Generally (at least i believe) people dont go to the polls over race issues unless they feel victimized.. I am certain Trump converted a huge percentage of former betrayed Obama voters..
I don't have numbers, but I do know a portion of Trump supporters are those who hate Muslims, Mexicans, and believe his comments about women and the disabled are just anti-PC good ole' boy talk.

But yes, others support him because he took on the Republican establishment and won. Also, his criticisms of the Clintons often had a ring of truth to them. He hit Hillary on NAFTA, TPP, and the Clinton Foundation.

You are an example of a "would be" Bernie voter that feels betrayed.. Another reason for more seperation at the polls.. Honestly, considering last night I dont think he would have won.. Bernies message would be powerfull after the crazy spending is haulted..
If it is haulted. I heard Trump wants to increase military spending, even though many say the military budget is unnecessarily bloated as it is.

I would agree with these "pie in the sky" ideas if. our leaders decided to put all resources into our country.. I think this is going to happen.. Prosperity in america and take care of our own first..
I agree with you there.

We now have a president owned by nobody.. This is great.. And I hope any congress or senate member that has a corporation in their pocket feels Trump's wrath..
It's great to have a president that is beholden to nobody, but I still worry about what will happen if Trump is able to implement all of his plans. That's why I was hoping Democrats would at least win majorities in Congress. I would like to have seen opposition to Trump's more radical plans of banning Muslims from entering the country and killing the family members of terrorists. I also worry that if the Affordable Care Act is immediately repealed, many people will once again be without health insurance. It may not be perfect, but we at least need an alternative first to ensure poor people aren't left uninsured.

ironically all the bs the left tried to portray donald as IS actually true about Hillary.. Racist, homophobia, marginalizing women.. Unfit.. Unqualified..
Yes, although Trump wants same sex marriage overturned. He wants it to go back to the states, and is hoping to select Supreme Court Justices that will make that happen.

and that is the telling part that we have a guy now that never held any political office.. The Clintons were blatantly corrupt..
Yes, which is why I believe the Democrats made a mistake by selecting such a damaged candidate. Many Dem elites turned their noses up at millennials, which was also stupid.

Sanders isnt a good "Now" choice.. But his type will be good when America prospers again and we have money to help our own.. And not throw overseas.. Lets work and take care of our own as a huge family.. This will happen with tax breaks that can bring all the manufacturer jobs back to the states.. More people working.. More money flowing.. Get competitive with schools and these ripoff universities that pay proffesors millions shile xharging poor kids ridiculous prices for books THEY DONT NEED because we now have had the internet available for a couple of decades..
I have my doubts that it will work out like that, but I hope for our country's sake that you are right. I certainly agree that we need to take care of our own first.

Kind of like the out of touch complacent Loyalists "underestimating" the determination of the "deplorable" Patriots to break free from tyranny, huh?
Whatever. The deplorable "Patriots" will have to suffer the consequences of inflicting this scum on the world right along with the rest of us.

My Facebook feed is filled with nothing but comments saying how Hillary was screwed over because she's a woman. However, they didn't seem to care that the Democrats did everything they could to screw over Bernie.

It's so easy to cry sexism in a situation like this, but it fails to address the genuine issues people had with her as a candidate.

We can only hope Trump tones down his policies and serves only one term. The damage he could do in four years is frightening. It is a wake up call for Europe and politicians in general to try and reach out to the ordinary person.

I think in the UK although we are leaving Europe we should still lean towards the likes of France and Germany, our future is there rather than with the US. I can see China overtaking the states as the biggest economic power.

It's the height of hyprocrisy to watch these GOP members of Congress try to elbow their way to the front of the line chanting they can't wait to begin working with President elect Trump. These same people were running away and hiding under their desk to distance themselves from him for the last year. These are the same people who have arrogantly turned deaf ears and a blind eye to the American voter for years. Kelly Ayotte conceded today to Maggie Hassan and Joe Heck will not know if he's still viable until Dec. 10.

I have no idea what kind of president Donald Trump will be, but he will go down in history as the man who will change the face of the Republican Party, and exposing the mainstream media as the corrupt machine they are.
