.I'm so happy to see two, I used to feel sorry for FLUFF being all alone last year. The first time for this nest, to have two eaglets, since 2019. I'm glad we have a set to watch this year.
Me too. Lets hope they're too busy with their own babies to bother our eaglesLet's hope the hawks and owls stay away.
Lipstick and Guy now have four babies! :gidd:Lipstick and Guy are great producers. This is the third year that I know they have had three eaglets.
I found a YouTuber who had videos of Soap and Chat and other clutches from Liberty and Freedom from throughout the years.Aww :love5:I can't get enough of these little cuties.

Wow, what a surprise! I didn't see 4 eggs![]()

Ooo that was wonderful to watch :love5: what happy memories it brought back of watching SOAP and Chat, thanks for posting it.I found a YouTuber who had videos of Soap and Chat and other clutches from Liberty and Freedom from throughout the years.
Here is Soap and Chat in late-April 2019 in their ugly, teenage stage.
.. SOAP was always more inquisitive, I guess that's why she was the first to fly out of the two of them. Do you remember how she used to wreck the cameras? Lol!. And the time I thought she was a goner? (I actually cried) when she accidently got knocked out of the nest, what drama we had that season. CHAT I will always remember for his cute cheeky expressions and for his lounging about and reluctance to fledge .
I wonder if Liberty and Freedom keep an eye on them? I'd like to think so, but they will have so many children flying around its probably impossible.Indeed, poor lonely eaglet. I hope Fluff is doing well. Soap and Chat should be getting white head feathers this year.
The difference in sizes between number one and number four is going to be apparent. Number four (we need more names . Lol!) is going to need to be tough, I hope it does well.I read that! It's so super rare to have I wish we had a better view of the eggs to know that there were four. I hope eaglet #1 is kind to eaglet #4. They have about a week or so of age difference. Lipstick and Guy will be very busy indeed.
Wow! After reading this it proves that Lipstick and Guy are very cleverVery Cool! Four young is very rare but is in the published range for the species. When the Game Commission was monitoring nest productivity (stopped in 2015), four young was documented once, and all four fledged. Like most birds, egg production is tied to the health of the adults and food availability—so that’s a good thing! The adults will be tasked with LOTS of food provisioning if all four end up fledging. It is also worth noting, other 4-egg nests have been documented as the result of two females laying in the same nest!
one of her babies has popped out to see what she's doing..Lol!That could be an issue (with the chickens) as a bird flu is affecting the area. I hope the eagles don't catch it.R.I.P. to all chickens and fish that were either injured or killed in the making of this thread

Wow! After reading this it proves that Lipstick and Guy are very cleverthey must be at their peek in fitness and they're going to need to be fit and healthy to keep all four babies fed. Thank you for posting this Michelle, otherwise I'd never have known how rare it is to have four eggs.
Indeed a sad sight but as I stated above a bird flu is in this area and I hope it stays away from our eagles.Freedom's been mega busy bringing in the food, here he is (poor chickens)

Four chickens. Someone somewhere is going to be hopping mad to have lost these chickens. Lipstick started to pluck one whilst I was watching, but that was a step too far for me I had to turn off the camera.:fp:
Lipstick does have a thing for juggling, she's often doing this ...

Maybe it relieves her boredom of sitting on the eaglets?one of her babies has popped out to see what she's doing..Lol!

A morning feeding with what looks to be bunny remains in the background. Here are her fab four ...

Its been very windy in the nest this week, those eaglets are so tiny I was afraid they might get blown out of the nest.
i do hate seeing an animal die to feed them but that's all they eat.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, over with Liberty and Freedom
Their main food of choice for the eaglets is fish ...

Poor fish![]()

LOL, the alien eyes! :floor:Here's a nighttime shot, please note the alien eyes

With Liberty and Freedoms nest one of the web-cam's is a lot closer to the nest which is fab for these close ups.
Seems like a fitting set of names. How about John, Paul, George, and Ringo as for names?
I'm thinking the babies are playing rough?Lunar and Celeste were beating the heck out of each other![]()
Seems like a fitting set of names.
Lucky they're both young and healthy, here is a middle of the night feed ...Not much rest for Lipstick and Guy for many months ahead.
Oh no, I'd be devastated if any of our eagles suffer that fate, they're all doing so well.bird flu is in this area and I hope it stays away from our eagles.
Ooo that poor little bunny, what a sad end.A morning feeding with what looks to be bunny remains in the background.

If only they could see what the eagles have done to that poor bunny :fp:The Starlings have no care in the world for what's going on above them.
How well behaved they're all being hereGood morning from the Quad Squad ... or Fab Four.

Ooo very clever MichelleMaybe they would be Ringo, John, Paul, and George to be in age order?
Yes it does. Maybe we could call Liberty and Freedoms two babies Lunar and Celeste instead? if this is okay with @Biggie?Seems like a fitting set of names.
Don't they justI'm thinking the babies are playing rough?

Fabulous! and yes I saw what you did there@Long Lashes yes that Dove tails quite well. (See what I did there?)
Apparently its quite rare. I'll re-post this information which @Michelle Stevens posted the other day, it explains it better than I can ....Is 4 babies above the usual number expected?

In contrast of the violence, here they are looking sweet and calm ...

Its difficult to see where one eaglet starts and the other ends? they're just a bundle of eaglets![]()

I suspect these two are stood on top of the smaller ones .
Oh no, I'd be devastated if any of our eagles suffer that fate, they're all doing so well.
Ooo that poor little bunny, what a sad end.
Over in Liberty and Freedoms nest they've had a squirrel, I love squirrels..... all that's left if its poor beautiful tail. Its times like this I wish our eagles were vegetarians, but then I eat meat so I have no right to complain.
I do like our cleanersthey look like they're having a village meeting ..Lol!
Indeed, poor bunny and with Easter not that far away. How dare they.If only they could see what the eagles have done to that poor bunny :fp:
How well behaved they're all being here.. I hope the smaller two are getting their fair share.
Great image! Here's a snap of Lipstick with one of her babies peeping out ...

The difference in size between #1 and #4 is incredible ...I feel so bad for #3 and #4, they have to compete so hard.
Life is certainly less hectic for Liberty and Freedom with just having Celeste and Lunar. They seem to be chilled out eaglets, but this may be due to the fact of just being two of them and also they hatched very close together timewise, so they're both similar sizes.Liberty and Freedom nest.

Ooo no, they can't eat my Orkie and Tiny TimAnd then they would be eating PLANTS .... like your beloved Orkie or Tiny Tim. Plants have feelings too .... kinda, maybe.

It still amazes me how quickly they developHow long does it take for the babies' feathers to change from grey to brown and white?
