Schitt's Creek is worth watching just for Catherine O'Hara's performance alone.

I'm already onto the second season and I'm really enjoying it. Yes, Catherine O'Hara is fantastic, and I also think the actress playing the daughter is doing a great job. There's also some lovely eye candy and something makes me laugh out loud every episode. Plus the episodes are only 20 mins long which is perfect as I have commitment issues.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I only have about five episodes left. I think it gets better and better. Then I will have to wait for Netflix to put the Christmas special up and then wait for the new season.

I also think the actress playing the daughter is doing a great job.

The further into the season I get the more my appreciation for the actress grows.

I just stumbled across new episodes of THE AFFAIR (Season 4). Hurrah hurrah, but why doesn't Netflix suggest this to me?
My "best choices" list doesn't make any sense. (Sabrina, Merlin, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ??)

Because Netflix knows the real you. It's like that episode of "Friends" where Rachel pretends her favourite movie is "Dangerous Liaisons" and her actual favourite movie is "Weekend at Bernie's."

I just started season 3 and it really is getting better and better.

If you are in season 3 then you are close to meeting Patrick, who I adore. I think season 4 was the best yet.

And Jake makes a wonderful new addition to the cast!

I like Jake too.

Season 5 starts here in the US in a couple of weeks. I can't decide if I am going to watch this week to week or wait for it to get to Netflix so I can binge. I'm leaning towards waiting but in the meantime I am thinking that I will rewatch from season 1.

I'm planning on starting You this weekend.

Five episodes into You and I'm completely hooked. The writing is interesting for both lead characters.

La Catedral is an old-fashioned, melodramatic and very sentimental mini-series - the heroes are pure and the villains are very, very bad.
This would have been a TV hit in the 1980s, it's the same style as The Last Days Of Pompeii (1984) and there's no nudity or gore, maybe just a little bit.
I found it very entertaining, it reminded me of the days when I read all those big novels by John Jakes and James Michener etcetera.

A "liebesgeschichte" that revels in cliché soapiness - the first episode has a conflicted patriarch, an ambitious son (I think his wife is in a sanatorium), an impossible love affair and a paternity issue!

This wasn't even in MyList, I just watched a few minutes before I tucked myself in. But the premise looked like a BLACK MIRROR episode (that great sci-fi series that nobody watches) therefore I decided to watch the whole episode - and then another one and another one.
It's laughable that all these hi-tecno professors are 20-somethings but that's what the story needs.
It's full of clichés and yet it made me think "but what IF?" I'd say Osmosis is better than it should have been, if that makes sense.

The Spaniards are back with another 80s style soap
Never mind, it's trash.

But this is great:

I don't know the story (haven't watched the documentary) but it's not so hard to imagine where this is going.
But I don't know when or how, and I love stories about deceit, manipulation and pretenders.
Is it going to be Valene and Danny Waleska, or maybe something else? The only thing I know is that's it's very addictive.

Dead to Me

The trailer and the fact that it is billed as a dark comedy didn't really sell the show to me and I decided to pass until a friend told me I had to give it a try. Now I'm five episodes in and hooked. I don't think the trailer does it justice and I don't consider it a dark comedy as much as I consider it a drama with dark edges and some funny moments. The performances are terrific. I've love Christina Applegate and she is excellent in this. The crux of the drama creates some nice tension and I'm curious to see where all this is leading.

I'd recommend people looking past the tone of the trailer and giving at least the first couple of episode a try.

Dead to Me
I'm watching this now, and yes it really is very addictive. I also wasn't very optimistic about yet another Odd Couple story but I discovered that James Marsden was in it too.
Christina Applegate is awesome in this series - and now the bitchy mother-in-law has arrived:popcorn:
