Well they're wearing similar jeans and belts but that's it.
Ray probably saw Clayton as a Father figure after he came to terms with the death of Jock.
Don't forget the hats!Well they're wearing similar jeans and belts but that's it.
It would have been interesting if Ray was Clayton's son. It could have led to more storylines
Perhaps Jock really didn’t want to know even if he had suspected it Lol!Margaret was married to Amos by the time that Ray was born in 1945. Jock might not have known about Margaret having a child until much later, perhaps as late as 1960, around the time when Ray arrived at Southfork. And he was Ray Krebbs, with Margaret's one-time husband being Amos Krebbs.
I can see why Jock would feel better letting the sleeping porcelain dogs lay. This is a whole other discussion but I wonder now how it would’ve gone over in those days when the brothers were all younger, and how Miss Ellie would’ve handled learning the truth about Ray back then.Perhaps Jock might have felt the possibility of it, but why voice it out loud in those days? He was married to Miss Ellie, with J.R., Gary and Bobby as their children, and Jock has no idea how Ray would take it even if he did raise it. However, Jock did look a bit shocked when Amos told him, so if he did ever suspect, then he must have buried it pretty deep inside himself.
That’s fair. I guess I’m saying it wouldn’t have bothered me necessarily but I can’t speak for how Ray would feel in that situation. Maybe I would’ve been blinded by all that Ewing money and stature and not been too concerned about a scandal but it was a different time.Doesn't matter for Margaret, perhaps, but what about for Ray? Even in 1982 or so (some 22 years later), when Ray goes back to Emporia, Kansas, with his wife Donna, to see his Aunt Lil (and his cousin Mickey), Ray is a bit nervous about it getting out in Emporia that Jock Ewing is his father
Emporia would have been a very conservative place. especially back then, and I’m sure Ray wouldn’t have wanted anyone to think his mother was the type who would have an affair and an illegitimate child.Perhaps Jock really didn’t want to know even if he had suspected it Lol!

I had no idea how loathsome Clayton was until that thread, and now I’m coming close to ripping all the Ray Krebbs posters down from my walls as well.Don't forget the hats!
I was only kidding, although judging by this thread and the what we didn't like about Clayton one they did have some similarities in their characteristics.
this is the type of high-level, high-concept graphic design and television artistry you just don’t see anymore these days - a shame!
Aww c'mon they're exciting, you love them really! Please, no more of these threads!
Oh, I wouldn’t let these threads do that! Keep your Ray posters up. None of these characters were perfect but that’s the fun of discussing it.I had no idea how loathsome Clayton was until that thread, and now I’m coming close to ripping all the Ray Krebbs posters down from my walls as well.
Who’s next?
Now this would be the unthinkable! I couldn’t imagine turning such a sweet wholesome character into being something unlikable. Nothing would make me take my Phyllis posters down.Phyllis the secretary???
as exemplary as she seemed, you have to wonder what might be below the surface. There’s something just a bit concerning about someone who can’t boil water. What else can’t she boil? Is she divulging Ewing secrets to Marilee Stone or her secret lover, the dynamic Andy Bradley?Oh, I wouldn’t let these threads do that! Keep your Ray posters up. Don't be too sure, if she worked for Bobby/Ewing Oil she was bound to be flawed.I couldn’t imagine turning such a sweet wholesome character into being something unlikable

ok, I admit it, I like these threads.Aww c'mon they're exciting, you love them really!
I was thinking Theresa and Raoul next?
Oh I'm so pleased. It's good for characters to be turned inside out every now and again. After all no one on Dallas could be that pure.ok, I admit it, I like these threads
Well, I've been wanting to suggest that for sometime. He was a regular figure at Southfork, always finding some excuse to pop there anytime of day or night working his way through ghe women. Can we be sure Ray wasn’t the father?
I’m no expert on herbal teas but then what the heck did she end up giving Pam?There’s something just a bit concerning about someone who can’t boil water. What else can’t she boil?
Isn’t it always?Maybe that sweet wholesome exterior was a front for someone with deep rooted dark secrets.
she told Bobby once that she would have invited him over for dinner, but she was such a bad cook that she couldn’t even boil water. As you pointed out above, that was a lie.I’m no expert on herbal teas but then what the heck did she end up giving Pam?
Every time I log in nowadays I lose a childhood hero.she told Bobby once that she would have invited him over for dinner, but she was such a bad cook that she couldn’t even boil water. As you pointed out above, that was a lie.
What else was the dastardly Phyllis lying about?
She was lying from day one. On her first day, JR asked where Connie was and she said, “Connie is ill today. My name is Phyllis.”What else was the dastardly Phyllis lying about?
Again, mainly the grey hair. Is that what made the women find him so attractive?Definitely a resemblance
You might be confused with the Ramos family who had no connection to Teresa or Raoul. The brilliant writers of TNT Dallas reconned the Ramos family into the Lorimar Dallas storyline. Us smart cookies picked up on that balls-up straight away. But that's another story.but didn’t Teresa and Raoul and their children figure prominently in the TNT revival?
Yes of course that was the story, how my mind has blurred so much of that "Dallas".Us smart cookies
He had that rugged cowboy look I guess and was "easily" available (I wanted to say he was on tap!)Again, mainly the grey hair. Is that what made the women find him so attractive?
I’ve always chosen to believe that was Raoul and Teresa and their kids (and possibly Ray’s), with names and backgrounds changed for contractual reasons! You might be confused with the Ramos family who had no connection to Teresa or Raoul. sort of like how Ray would walk into a bar and say “give me a beer” and one would appear immediately, a woman in need could just walk up to the bunkhouse and say “give me a cowboy” and Ray would magically appear, ready to make passionate love at the drop of a hatHe had that rugged cowboy look I guess and was "easily" available (I wanted to say he was on tap!)
Until Ray got with Donna no one else was getting hurt by sleeping with Ray.
oh, it’s the works for sure! After the resounding success of the first three volumes, my agent has fielded dozens of offers for a new installment, not to mention other projects - screenplays, Andy Bradley lunchboxes and overalls for the children, etc.Get ready to write a fourth volume of The under-utilisation of the Dynamic Andy Bradley.
I can't wait to read about all the affairs Theresa had and what Raoul and Phyllis used to get up to at the Ewing condo!![]()
Oh I love those ideas, could be so juicy.the possibilities are endless!
