It's a shame that netflix doesn't publish any numbers regarding their audience. CW Dynasty is really a remarkable case.Thre Dynasty continuation or whatever it is on Netflix makes me want sunglasses looking at it, and I have no desire whatsoever to see that happen to Dallas.
Dallas lives in my heart, it’s part of me, I don’t want or need it to come back with a bunch of people I don’t know who will likely be cast from reality tv.
I know quite a few people who watch that show. They are all under 25 years old and don't have a clue (nor care if told) that a series like that ran successfully in the 80s.
I watched a few minutes, but I never got the allusion that the 80s audience is a target group. Netflix' target group is aged from 16-34 years old.
I get the impression that reboots, remakes are chosen (instead of new ideas) because it is easier to convince the finances of something which worked before, even if it's the title only.
I highly doubt that the announced reboots of Little house on the prairie or highway to heaven are intended for the die hard fans of the 70s/80s either.
